About RS2 Architects

RS2 Architects was founded in 2006 Chuck Seen. We share a combined experience of over 25 years in all phases of architecture service, and are all licensed architects. We have successfully completed numerous residential, commercial, municipal, aquatic and recreational projects. Our current focus is residential remodeling and room additions, as well as the adaptive reuse of older commercial structures. We enjoy projects that involve the older homes in the communities that surround Wheaton. We are knowledgeable with green concepts, technologies as well as the USGBC Leed accreditation system.

RS2 Architects office is located in downtown Wheaton, Illinois. We are equipped with the latest CAD software, server and computer systems, and large format printing capabilities. Our capabilities include in-house 3D modeling and animation. Our office is an open studio environment, and while we do embrace the technological aspects of our practice, we still find value in creating hand drawn sketches – and for most projects small paper and cardboard models.

We stress and encourage our clients to partake in the design process. We approach all our projects as a journey with our clients by using an interactive process that includes the exchange of ideas translated to tangible form, such as drawings and models. The presentation of these drawings and models allows a client’s ideas and goals to begin to take shape in a physical form – a distance between the idea and form is established. The process of form making, and reviewing and revising the drawings and models is the design process that begins to bring in focus the design. We arrive at the finished design after several iterations of the process. The distance between idea and form closes. The form becomes the embodiment of the idea. The design emerges.
